Sunday 4th October

Same as before really, we are up to mid week training and early morning training also to keep up the pace, not doing just Sundays!
We are now officially recognised by The Christie, we have had our sponsorship packs and T-shirts and a link will be going on here soon for a website that you can pledge/donate to over the net, links will also be going onto facebook... watch this space!

Sunday 27th Spetember 2009

We are up to 50 miles, we'll now start to concentrate on staying at same distance for few weeks and just improving on time, getting quicker all the time, and the worsening weather is giving us a taste of what is to come.

Sunday 20th September 2009

Another 45 miler, this time quicker and apart from nearly using local roadkill as speedbumps along the way, it went pretty well.  Time is faster now, so it's time we reckon for a 60 mile ride out of the bikes, still searching for new equipment, trying to fit family, work and training in is hard but we'll get there.

Saturday 6th September

Managed to do 45 miles today, nearly killed us, but we did it.  Mick fell off and the lights broke down, had to cycle home from Lancaster in the dark, Len with a front light and Mick holding up the rear with a back light!

We will not be beaten! We set off after an evening of fine tuning the bikes and making sure pedals are intact..
This time the gears go! kept on going regardless,  20 miles -what's a few torn ligaments between mates?

A definate re think into making do and mending with the bikes we have,,, off shopping we will have to go.

Sunday 9 August 2009

Our first official training 20 miles, to ease us in, and we have technical difficulties, half way round, mission abandoned due to a pedal falling off on a layby somewhere, we limp home! some serious thinking is ahead..

We have made the leap! A decision has been made to do the end to end, tip to toe, back breaking Lands End to John O'Groats cycle ride.
